Donnarumma and Pregnant Wife Were Tied Up and Threatened During Paris Home Robbery

Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and his wife, Alessia Elefante, were victims of a frightening home invasion in Paris in 2023, a French court has heard as the trial of some of the alleged suspects began.

Donnarumma, 27, reportedly gave investigators a detailed account of the incident, which happened while he and Elefante were inside their former home on Avenue Montaigne in Paris.

The couple were reportedly attacked during the robbery, with Donnarumma saying he was punched in the face and threatened with a knife. His wife, who was pregnant at the time, also told investigators that she was dragged by her hair and assaulted by the intruders.

The robbers are accused of escaping with luxury items worth more than £430,000. The stolen property reportedly included expensive watches, cash, handbags, vehicles and other valuable belongings.

How the Intruders Entered the Apartment

According to information presented to the court, the attackers allegedly planned their way into the property carefully.

The suspects are said to have used a ladder to reach the roof of the building before moving onto a balcony. From there, they allegedly broke through the glass windows of the apartment while Donnarumma and Elefante were sleeping.

Donnarumma reportedly woke up and found one of the intruders standing over him.

The goalkeeper told investigators that he was immediately threatened and punched in the face. The attackers allegedly demanded that he hand over his expensive watches and other valuables.
