Nigerian actor Patrick Ifeanyi has shared a personal story about marriage and how an experience shortly after his wedding made him turn down a business opportunity.

Patrick, who is now a father of three, explained that the incident happened only a few months after he got married.

According to the actor, he was presented with a business proposal that would have required him to relocate from Enugu to Kano to supervise the opening of a new branch.

Although the proposal appeared to be a business opportunity, Patrick said he became uncomfortable with the arrangement because it would mean leaving his new wife behind in Enugu.

He also remembered a previous experience involving the same man, which had left him embarrassed.

The Business Proposal

Patrick explained that plans were already being made to expand the business to Kano when the man approached him with the proposal.

The actor said he was informed that he would be expected to travel to Kano and take charge of the new branch once it opened.

At the time, Patrick was still newly married and was enjoying the early stage of his marriage.

The proposal therefore put him in a difficult position because accepting it would mean spending a considerable amount of time away from his wife.

He also said the security situation in Kano at the time made him even more uncomfortable about the idea.

A Previous Incident Came Back to His Mind

Patrick said the man making the proposal was someone he had previously had an uncomfortable experience with.

According to the actor, the man had once told his wife and her sister to clean their slippers before they entered his car.

Patrick said he felt embarrassed by the way the situation played out but decided not to confront the man about it.

However, when the same person later asked him to relocate to Kano shortly after his wedding, Patrick said the previous incident came back to his mind.

He began to question whether accepting the offer was the right decision.

Patrick’s Private Thoughts

The actor said he did not openly argue with the man or start a confrontation.

Instead, he began thinking carefully about the situation.

Patrick humorously described his thoughts as a serious “board meeting” taking place inside his head.

He wondered why he had to be the person sent to Kano at a time when he was newly married.

He also joked about whether the man simply wanted him to expand the business or whether there could be another reason behind the request.
