She explained that she had been struggling financially because acting opportunities were limited. Having four children also made finding regular employment difficult because of the high cost of childcare.
Cave said she had considered giving up acting after going through a very difficult period financially and emotionally.
According to the actress, her OnlyFans content mainly focuses on hair. She sometimes wears outfits inspired by her Harry Potter character, Lavender Brown, but said she remains fully dressed in the content.
Cave described the content as being centred around hair and said it has attracted a very specific audience.
She also said the success of the platform gave her a sense of confidence after years of feeling overlooked, particularly after becoming a mother.
The actress said the unexpected income has given her financial security while allowing her to create content independently and on her own terms.
