Two Suspected Vandals Arrested in Jos
Troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH) have arrested two men suspected of vandalising government-installed solar street lights in Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The suspects were identified as 22-year-old Isiyaku Mohammed and 27-year-old Ali Kazaure.
They were arrested at about 4:20 p.m. on August 7, 2026, while troops from Sector 1, Sub-Sector 12, were carrying out a patrol along the road in Babawo village.
According to a military source, the soldiers caught the suspects allegedly damaging solar street-light equipment installed by the government.
The two suspects were later handed over to the Keystone Outpost in Babawo for further investigation.
Security authorities are expected to investigate the case further and determine whether the suspects may be connected to other cases of vandalism in the area.
