Dabota Lawson Responds After Diiadem Accuses Her of Admiring the Olu of Warri
Beauty entrepreneur and reality TV star Dabota Lawson has responded to an allegation made by her former friend, Diiadem Adeola, about her admiration for the Olu of Warri, who is married with children.
Dabota and Diiadem, who were once close friends and both run beauty businesses, have recently been involved in a public social media dispute, with both women making claims about each other.
The disagreement has included several serious allegations, including claims involving married men, relationships and other personal matters.
During the online exchange, Diiadem accused Dabota of being involved with the husband of someone she was close to. She also claimed that Dabota showed an “obvious admiration” for the husband of Olori Atuwatse.
Following the allegation, some Nigerians criticised Dabota and urged her to stay away from the married monarch.
Dabota later responded to one of the comments, saying there was nothing wrong with admiring successful or respected people.
She wrote that admiring great men should not automatically be seen as something wrong. She also compared it to having a harmless celebrity crush and said that people can admire others without having romantic intentions.
