Anambra Police Arrest Woman Over Alleged Child Exploitation in Onitsha, Rescue Four Children

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 36-year-old woman, identified as Anulika Onyeanusia, over an alleged case involving the sexual exploitation of a child in Onitsha, Anambra State.

The police said the arrest followed the discovery of disturbing video material allegedly involving the suspect and a minor.

According to the police, the woman is suspected of involving her daughter in the production of inappropriate adult material which was allegedly shared online for financial gain.

The case has now attracted the attention of the police, who said they are investigating how the alleged activity was carried out and whether other people were involved.

Four Children Rescued

The police said the operation also led to the rescue of four children.

The children are aged two, three, six and nine years.

The command said the children have been taken into protective care as investigations continue.

Police officers also reportedly recovered items they consider relevant to the investigation.

The authorities said the main priority is to protect the children and ensure that they receive the necessary care and support following the allegations.

Police Arrest Suspect

The police confirmed that Onyeanusia is currently in custody while detectives continue with their investigation.
